i have a dv2196ea and i succefully installed winXP 64bit only i’m having problems with my built-in bluetooth, its driver is installed but the system can’t see the device.
P.S. the device (bluetooth) worked fine back when i had XP32bit.

one more thing, system can’t read more than 3070Mb of ram while i have 4Gb ram.

could someone please help me,,, i need them bad!!!

Sir I have bought a hp pavillion note book pc (dv 2000 series- DV 2762 tx special edition, Intel core 2 duo T5550 (1.83 GHZ) 160 GB 5400 RPM,2048 MB DDR2 SDRAM(2 DIMM) WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM, NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400MGS- 128 MB ETC ,). but 1 day the display change to that in windows 98 automatically, many softwares stopped working. even system recovery shows error, recovery disk didnt work. and i lost all my original softwares including the load of software given with the product from the company. many keys including function keys of key board, graphics stopped working. In guwahati hp service centre, they replace original glossy key board, mother board. but now i think it was not a hardware but software problem. now too the pc is working, but problems like functioning of key board, graphics problem, rising in temperature of the pc quickly still remains. . Can i get all the original softwares including vista home premium system, and hardware parts so that it starts working as that way when i purchased. my pc is still in the warrenty period. I would remain ever gratefull to you if you pay a liittle attention towards my problems, Plz .

if u have a D drive saying HP Recovery u can simply press F11 afer restart…….if u don’t have the D drive u must have hp recovery discs

I have a Pavillion laptop dv2000. The sound works but not the speaker jack nor the head phone sockets. I don;t know about the mike socket yet. Does your installation fix the problem with headphone, speaker and mic sockets?
